If you only browse this website, we do not ask for or store your data. We only store your data if you choose to write to us through the contact form, solely to respond to you.
This policy explains how we process your personal data on this website, in accordance with the Ley para la Protección de Datos Personales de El Salvador (Decreto Legislativo No. 144 of 12 November 2024).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is SV Consultores, Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable (SV Consultores, S.A. de C.V.), NIT 0614-160223-104-0, located at Calle Marconi 816-1, Barrio San Jacinto, San Salvador Centro, San Salvador, El Salvador. For any privacy matter, you can write to contacto@consultoreselsalvador.com.
If you only browse the website
There are no user accounts or comments, we do not use analytics or advertising tools, and the website does not set its own cookies in your browser. We do not ask for data to use the calculators: calculations run in your browser and never leave your device. There are just two things you should know:
- The server hosting this website automatically logs technical data for each visit (IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type). This is a standard security and operational log; we do not use it to identify you or create profiles.
- If you use the accessibility controls at the top (text size, high contrast or dark theme), your preference is stored in your own browser for your next visit. It is not sent to anyone, and you can delete it in your browser settings.
If you write to us through the contact form
Only in this case do we receive personal data, because you voluntarily provide it so that we can contact you. The form (on the Contact page and at the end of some pages) asks for:
- Required: full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, number of branches and a description of your situation.
- Optional: company, job title and service of interest.
- An image code to prevent spam. This code is not retained: the image and its answer are generated on our server and automatically deleted after approximately one hour.
We do not ask for sensitive or banking data. Please do not include passwords, card numbers or sensitive data in your message. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email instead of the form, we retain that conversation to assist you.
How we use your data
Only to respond to your request, provide information or a quote for our services, and follow up on our conversation with you. We do not use it for unsolicited advertising, sell it or disclose it to other companies for their own purposes.
We process it based on your consent (the checkbox you select before submitting the form) and because it is necessary to handle your request before a possible contract (Art. 5, letter g, items 1 and 2 of the law).
Where data is stored and for how long
Your message is delivered by email to the company mailbox (contacto@consultoreselsalvador.com) and also recorded in the website database. Only authorised SV Consultores staff have access. We retain your data while it is needed to handle your request and maintain our relationship with you, and until you ask us to delete it.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or disclose your data. Providers process it on our behalf to keep the website and email working, and you have the right to know who they are:
- Hostinger, the provider of the virtual private server (VPS) hosting the website and its database (hostinger.com).
- The email service hosting the company mailbox (contacto@consultoreselsalvador.com), which receives your message.
These providers may store data in data centres outside El Salvador. We may also provide your data to an authority when required by law.
Third-party services when visiting the website
Even if you do not fill in a form, some page elements load from external services, which therefore receive your IP address and technical browser data:
- Google Maps (Google): the map on the Contact page.
- Gravatar (Automattic): profile pictures of blog authors.
- Unsplash: some photographs on the website (for example, on Home and Blog).
When you follow links to WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok or Waze, you leave this website and those services’ policies apply. We do not control how they process your data.
Cookies
SV Consultores does not set its own cookies in your browser when you visit the website. The only possible cookies are those set by the third-party services described above (for example, Google when displaying the map); their policies apply, and you can block or delete them in your browser settings. Website administrators use session cookies when signing in; these do not apply to visitors.
Your rights
The law gives you the following rights over your personal data:
- Access: know which data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or outdated data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Objection: ask us to stop processing your data.
- Portability: receive your data in a commonly used electronic format.
- Restriction: ask us to limit use of your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect.
To exercise these rights, write to contacto@consultoreselsalvador.com giving your name, the email address you used to contact us and what you would like to do. This is free (only costs of reproducing or sending information may be charged, Art. 23), and we will respond within the periods set by law. If you withdraw consent, we will stop using and delete your data, unless the law requires us to retain it.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Agencia de Ciberseguridad del Estado, which supervises compliance with the law.
Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to the database and mailbox is restricted to authorised staff. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law (Art. 25).
Minors
This website is intended for business owners, accountants and other adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has contacted us, please tell us and we will delete the data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date. If a change affects data you have already provided, we will inform you using the email address you contacted us from.
